Opportunity:

Medical Surgical Registered Nurse

Job Details:

* 4x12 day shift schedule (48-hour weeks)
* Shift times are days
* Patient ratio is 1:7 utilizing team nursing model with support from PCC, LPN, and other staff
* On-call required as needed
* Weekend shifts required as needed
* Block scheduling not available; weekend block may be considered and must be discussed during interview
* Must live at least 100 miles from the facility - local travelers not accepted
* Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Surgical experience required; 3+ years preferred
* Must have completed at least 1 prior travel assignment
* Level I or Level II Trauma experience required
* Large hospital experience preferred
* Prior charge experience preferred
* Patients served include adults and geriatrics with general medical/surgical diagnoses
* Unit consists of 48 beds with a daily census of 48
* Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, rapid response teams, interpretation services, and transportation
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Required skills: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, starting and maintaining IVs, telemetry, IV start
* EPIC experience preferred
* Active RN license in the state or compact RN license compliant with NLC guidelines required
* Driver's license must be included with submission
* All requested time off must be submitted at time of submission and will not be honored if submitted after an offer is made
* If assignment includes end-of-year holidays and all three (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) fall within the assignment, traveler must be willing to work 2 of the 3 holidays; if only 2 holidays fall within the assignment, traveler must be willing to work at least 1
* RNs may be floated between like units or campuses within a 20-mile radius
