Job Details:

* Day and evening shift rotation required
* Shift options include a combination of 2x 8-hour and 2x 12-hour shifts: 06:30?14:30 / 14:30?22:30 and 06:30?18:30 / 10:30?22:30
* Alternative option available for day/evening rotating 5x 8-hour shifts: 06:30?14:30 / 14:30?22:30
* Call requirements: 2?4 weeknight call shifts and 1?2 weekend call shifts per 4-week schedule
* No call shift is longer than 12 hours; weekend call is either Friday and Saturday night only or Saturday and Sunday during the day only
* Minimum 2 years of CVOR RN experience required
* Previous travel experience required
* Scrub experience must reflect a 3 or 4 on the skills checklist
* Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
* 1:1 patient ratio experience required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CNOR
* Must have Michigan license in-hand at time of submission (compact license not accepted)
* 2 manager or supervisor references required; charge RN references are not accepted
* Care for adult and geriatric cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgery patients including complex and high acuity cases
* Cardiac procedures include: Aortic Aneurysm Repair, MVR, AVR, CABG, ECMO, Heart Transplant, MAZE, LVAD/RVAD, Aortic Balloon/Impella Devices
* Thoracic procedures include: VATS Wedge Resection, VATS/Open Lobectomy, Esophagectomy (Minimally Invasive & Transhiatal), Bronchoscopy, EGD, Mediastinal Mass Removal, Lung Transplant, Laparoscopic & Open Hiatal Hernia Repair
* Vascular procedures include: AAA, EVAR, Carotid Endarterectomy, AV Fistulas, Fem-distal bypass, Fem-fem bypass, SMA bypass, Vein stripping/ablation
* Special equipment: XI Robot

Facility:

This facility operates a highly specialized cardiovascular operating room that supports a broad range of complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical procedures. The unit is known for its positive work environment, strong management support, and flexible scheduling practices. The call program is structured to minimize disruption to staff personal time, with no single call shift exceeding 12 hours and weekend call limited to two consecutive nights only.
