Opportunity:

Nursing Supervisor

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts totaling 36 hours per week
* Supervise hospital operations under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer and Director of Nursing
* Assume responsibility for coordination of age-appropriate patient care activities in the absence of the CNO or DON
* Coordinate nursing care activities within nursing services in the absence of Unit Directors
* Provide overall management of the facility and maintain a high degree of confidentiality
* Emergency department experience required
* Minimum 4 years of acute care experience required
* BSN required or willingness to obtain
* Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
* Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Maine or Authorization to Practice pending licensure by endorsement
* Required certifications: BCLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP (within 6 months of hire)
* Must demonstrate clinical proficiency in age-appropriate care of patients using the nursing process
* Must demonstrate leadership skills with strengths in communications, organization, management of conflict, and problem-solving
* Ability to function independently and act rapidly and efficiently in emergency situations
