Job Details:
* Work 12-hour shifts with times of 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Rotating weekend schedule with every other weekend required
* Holiday expectations include one major and one minor holiday
* No on-call responsibilities
* Schedule made in 3-week increments with RTO approval required through manager
* Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* Patient ratios follow AWHONN and NANN guidelines: 1:1 for active labor, 1:2 for non-active laboring patients
* Provide care for Level II Perinatal Center patients at 32 weeks and above
* Manage hypertension, magnesium administration, medication management for substance abuse, epidurals, fetal monitoring, and IV skills
* Perform cervical exams, antepartum and labor care, amnio infusion, and Pitocin administration
* Provide post-partum couplet care once mom and baby are stable
* Support basic breastfeeding education for patients
* Float between Labor & Delivery and Mother/Baby units; will not float to START unit
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring certification (AWHONN or Relia's module)
* Required EMR experience: EPIC Stork and GE Centricity
* Required equipment experience: Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing (experience required), HUGS Security system
* Scrubs provided by facility

Facility:
This facility is a Level III Trauma Center with 375 licensed beds, offering a comprehensive range of services including a 9-bed LDR unit, 2 OB ORs, 2 OB PACUs, an 11-bed Level II NICU, a 4-bed Pediatrics unit, a 20-bed Mother/Baby unit, an 18-bed START unit for Perinatal Addiction, and 3 OB ED beds for patients 20 weeks and above. The facility delivers approximately 175-200 babies per month and provides 24/7 support including hospitalist coverage, a Laborist OB/GYN, respiratory therapy, and midwife and family practice services. The START unit is an inpatient voluntary addiction medicine treatment program specifically designed to support pregnant women seeking treatment.
