Opportunity:

Maternal-Fetal Medicine Sonographer

Job Details:

* Work 8-hour day shifts Monday through Thursday with a 4-hour shift on Friday
* Conduct diagnostic imaging studies across all trimesters including first trimester dating and early anatomic assessments
* Perform detailed second and third trimester anatomic assessments, fetal echocardiography, growth assessments, Doppler studies, and transvaginal ultrasound
* Work directly and exclusively with perinatologists in a high quality independent fetal imaging center
* Check equipment and accessories to ensure proper working order and notify appropriate personnel for repairs
* Evaluate patient history and symptoms and communicate clearly and professionally with patients and their families
* Perform multiple forms of ultrasound imaging including transabdominal, transvaginal, multiplanar imaging, and multiple forms of Doppler assessment
* Conduct advanced fetal imaging studies including genetic sonograms, fetal echocardiography, and multiple gestation assessments
* Assist physicians as needed in performing additional imaging or biopsy procedures
* Complete exam charges and image documentation and forward to radiologist in a timely manner
* Adhere to protocols established by the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM)
* Participate in modality specific QA/QC program and ensure compliance with regulations
* Demonstrate and maintain current knowledge and skills for patients across all age groups including newborn, pediatric, young adult, adult, and geriatric
* Associates Degree in Ultrasound Technology or graduate of an accredited sonography program required
* Current American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS Registry) required
* Minimum 2 years of ultrasound experience preferred
* Nuchal Translucency (NT) Certification preferred
* Bachelor's degree preferred
* Charting system: EPIC
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA), RDMS
