Opportunity:
RN - Med/Surge
Job Details:
* Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on scientific nursing principles
* Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
* Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medications via oral, subcutaneous, and IV routes
* Report adverse reactions to medications or treatments in accordance with nursing policy
* Educate patients on surgical procedures and post-treatment home care needs
* Record patients' medical information and vital signs accurately and in a timely manner
* Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients and interpret electronic displays
* Initiate corrective action when patients display adverse symptomatology
* Provide bedside care for a wide variety of medical patients, including pre- and post-surgery patients
* Initiate patient education plans as prescribed by physician
* Perform wound care including changing dressings, inserting catheters, and starting IVs
* Prepare equipment and assist physician during examinations and treatments
* Respond to life-saving situations based on nursing standards and protocol
* Participate in discharge planning
* Assignment located at the Riverton campus
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS (must be through the American Heart Association)
* Wyoming RN or multi-state RN license required
