Open Position: RN - Outpatient

Opportunity:

RN - Pre-Op/PACU

Job Details:

* 12-hour shifts from 10:00 AM to 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday
* Opportunity to cover additional shifts as needed
* No call and no float required
* No weekend shifts required
* Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
* Pre-operative patient ratios of 1:1 and post-operative patient ratios of 1:4
* Daily census of 25 patients across 18 beds and 18 rooms
* Prepare patients for surgery including IV placement, vital signs, and medication reconciliation
* Receive patients from PACU and prepare them for discharge home
* Care for medical patients receiving fluids, blood products, or undergoing lumbar punctures
* Support Phase 1 recovery and Phase 2 short stay patients
* Ambulatory outpatient surgery unit setting
* Interdisciplinary support includes lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation
* Charting system experience in Epic required
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Trauma Level II experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
* Compact nursing license must be in hand at time of submission
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* May be expected to float between nearby sister facilities; refusal to float may result in termination or forfeiture of guaranteed hours
