Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

* Every other weekend required
* No on-call required
* 2 years of experience required, with at least 1 year in ICU setting
* Level II Trauma experience required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Patient ratios of 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* 26-bed unit with a daily census of 20 patients
* Serves adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
* Patient diagnoses include cardiac, neuro, med-surg, and trauma
* May float to a sister facility approximately 16-20 miles away on a rare basis
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Scrub color: Royal Blue or Navy Blue
* Free parking available
* 40 orientation hours
* RTO must be included at time of submission
* Facility may call off once per two-week pay period
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
* 2 references required, covering 1 year within the last 3 years
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
* Key skills include: ventilator management, arterial line management, central line care, CRRT, IABP, Impella, EVD, ICP monitoring, cardiac drip titration, vasoactive drip titration, CABG post-operative care, TAVR, TBI management, stroke management, and hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun
* Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy

Facility:

This acute care hospital operates 277 staffed beds and functions as a Level II Trauma Center, providing comprehensive critical care services. The facility supports a wide range of complex patient needs including open heart surgery, CABG, primary stroke care, traumatic brain injury management, and CRRT. The ICU is equipped with advanced technology including Arctic Sun, IABP, CRRT, Impella, EVD, Belmont, Cheetah Monitor, and Flo Trac systems, with robust interdisciplinary support teams available around the clock.
