Opportunity:

RN - Progressive Care/Step-Down

Job Details:

* Work on a 20-bed inpatient overflow unit with mixed level of care including medical surgical and step-down patients
* Short stay patients (under 24-hour length of stay) are targeted to this unit with quick patient turnover
* Patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:6 stretch dependent on level of care
* Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, and 2 CNAs
* Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, and 2 CNAs
* Every other weekend required with no on-call responsibilities
* Telemetry competency required - all patients with telemetry monitoring indication are hardwired to bedside monitor
* Progressive care experience required
* Recent progressive care experience preferred
* Must demonstrate a positive attitude with a patient experience-focused, kind, compassionate, and team-oriented approach
* EMR system used: Cerner
* Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
* Dress code: Navy and/or white top, navy bottom, all white scrubs
* Travelers may be required to float to other units as needed
