Opportunity:

RRT - NICU

Job Details:

* Float internally between departments with flexibility required
* Every other weekend required per CBA
* No on-call required
* Block schedules not required
* Patient ratios per hospital acuity
* Washington state license must be in hand at time of submission
* Level 3 NICU and Level 2 Adult ICU experience required
* NICU III or IV level experience is a hard stop requirement
* Neuro Trauma ICU experience required
* All staff, including agency, are considered VAR shift for the unit
* Shift assignment (days or nights) is typically confirmed one to two weeks in advance
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* At least 1 year of specific experience required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Trauma Level I and II experience preferred
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CRT, NRP, PALS, RRT, PALS or ENPC, CRT or RRT
* Required skills include: Adult Critical Care, ARDS, BiPAP, Bronchoscopy, Bubble CPAP, CPAP/Nasal CPAP/BiPAP, Direct Intubation (Neonatal), Drawing Arterial Blood Gases, ET Tube management, Extubation, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), High Frequency Jet Ventilator, High Frequency Oscillator, Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Intubation Assist, Nasal Airway Placement, NICU, Nitric Oxide (INo), Oral Airway Placement, Oscillating Ventilator, Pressure/Volume Ventilator, Pulmonary Hygiene, Sputum Specimen Collection, Suctioning (ETT, NT), Tracheostomy Care/Management, Weaning from Mechanical Ventilation, and more
* Highly preferred experience with Bunnell Jet Ventilation in NICU
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, and more
* Patient age groups served: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics

Facility:

This large healthcare facility operates a high-acuity NICU and adult ICU environment, supporting a daily census of approximately 300 patients across 337 beds. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support services including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more. The organization maintains high standards of patient care across multiple departments and supports a wide range of patient age groups from neonates to geriatrics.
