RRT - NICU
Job Details:
* 13-week travel contract with variable shift scheduling (days or nights confirmed one to two weeks in advance)
* Every other weekend required per collective bargaining agreement
* No on-call required
* Internal floating between departments required - must be flexible
* Must be able to work independently within a Level 3 NICU autonomously
* Must have skill and experience to work in a Level 2 regional trauma center
* All staff are considered variable (VAR) for the unit, including full-time employees
* Minimum 2 years of experience required; at least 1 year NICU Level III or IV experience required
* Neuro Trauma ICU experience required
* Trauma Level I and II experience preferred
* Epic charting system experience required
* Washington state license must be in hand at time of submission
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CRT, NRP, PALS, RRT
* Highly preferred equipment experience: Bunnell Jet Ventilation in NICU
* Required skills include: Adult Critical Care, ARDS, Bubble CPAP, CPAP/BiPAP, Direct Neonatal Intubation, Drawing Arterial Blood Gases, ET Tube management, Extubation, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), High Frequency Jet Ventilator, High Frequency Oscillator, Interpretation of ABGs, Nitric Oxide (iNO), Oscillating Ventilator, Pressure/Volume Ventilator, Tracheostomy Care/Management, Umbilical Blood Gases, Weaning from Mechanical Ventilation, and more
* Patient age groups include neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* All requested time off and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during submittal
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility
Facility:
This large healthcare facility operates a 337-bed hospital with a daily census of approximately 300 patients. The facility supports a Level 3 NICU and a Level 2 regional trauma center, offering comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more. The organization maintains high standards for patient care across a wide range of specialties and age groups.
