Job Details:

* Night shift position with variable days of the week
* 36-bed Oncology/GYN-ONC/Palliative/Med Tele unit
* Patient ratios: 1:4 day shift, 1:5 night shift - nurse-to-patient ratios may flex up based on staffing and unit needs; candidates must be comfortable with and have prior experience working in environments with flexible staffing ratios
* 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period required
* Floating required within scope to meet facility needs and may float to sister facilities
* No on-call required
* Charting system: Epic (experience required)
* Scrub color: Navy
* 2 years of acute care experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Required certifications: BLS, Colorado or Compact RN license; Oncology certification preferred but not required
* Chemo certification (ONS/ONCC) preferred
* Maximum 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract
* RTO is not approved during the following blackout periods: September 2 September 12, 2026; October 25 November 4, 2026; November 22 December 2, 2026; December 20 January 3, 2027
* Required skills include: accessing/managing ports, administration of chemotherapy and blood products, central line care and blood draws, PICC line care, IV push chemotherapy administration, continuous chemotherapy infusion, PCA pump management, neutropenic precautions, chemotherapy monitoring, wound care, foley catheter insertion/management, phlebotomy, and sepsis management among others
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response teams, and social services

The oncology unit is a 36-bed specialized unit supporting oncology, gynecologic oncology, palliative care, and medical telemetry patients. The facility utilizes Epic for charting and provides robust interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, interpretation services, and rapid response teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
