Open Position: RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

* 13-week travel assignment
* Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts per week
* Guaranteed 60 hours per 2-week period; traveler may be called off for 1, 12-hour shift per 2 weeks
* Weekend coverage may be more frequent than every other weekend and is subject to staffing needs
* No on-call required
* May float to like units to meet facility needs; refusal to float may result in termination of assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours
* Block scheduling is not available
* Patient ratios are 1:5 for days, nights, and weekends
* Cares for adult and geriatric patient populations
* Oncology experience preferred but not required; experience with chemo administration preferred
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* Skills required include: Med/Surg, use of Rapid Response/Code teams, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Nasal Cannula, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, oxygen tanks, and isolation precautions/PPE
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Lift Teams, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation, and Unit Secretary
* Charting system: Epic
* Required certification: BLS
* Scrubs provided by facility
* Parking is free
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* All requested time off must be submitted upfront at time of submittal
* Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
* Alaska RN license required; pending license accepted but must be in hand for offer
