RN - Labor and Delivery
Job Details:
* Various days of the week scheduling with weekend shifts required per unit needs
* On-call required per unit needs
* Patient ratio of 1:2 on days, nights, and weekends
* 14-bed Women's and Infants Labor and Delivery unit with a daily census of 5-10 patients
* Fast-paced environment with approximately 150 births per month
* Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
* Charting system: Epic experience required
* Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate (hard requirement)
* Compact state license accepted
* Must be able to circulate in the OR and scrub for C-sections
* Must be able to place internal monitors including IUPC and FSE
* OB triage experience required
* Must be able to manage laboring and high-risk OB patients
* Experience with magnesium sulfate therapy, pitocin/cytotec induction, insulin drips, and epidural anesthesia required
* Must be able to manage conditions including pre-eclampsia, HELLP syndrome, postpartum hemorrhage, preterm labor, and PPROM
* Facility delivers down to 31 weeks/1500g and manages fetal demise
* Special equipment includes IUPC, FSE, fetal monitoring, and Jada
* Scrub color: Navy
* Self-scheduling with a maximum of 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract
* RTO is not allowed during the following blackout periods: June 28?July 9, 2026; September 2?September 12, 2026; October 25?November 4, 2026
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred

This healthcare facility operates a Women's and Infants Labor and Delivery unit with 14 staffed beds and 12 rooms, supporting a high volume of approximately 150 births per month. The unit is equipped with one OR/PACU on the floor and an 18-bed postpartum/OBGYN unit, offering comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, interpretation services, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy. The facility manages a wide range of patient diagnoses from low-risk perinatal care to high-risk conditions including preeclampsia, intrauterine growth restriction, and preterm labor.
