Opportunity:

RN - IMC / IICU (Intermediate Intensive Care)

Job Details:

* Option of 13 or 26 week contract available
* Must work 2 of the 3 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's
* 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule period
* Self-scheduling type
* Patient ratio of 1:3 on days, nights, and weekends
* Care for adult patients including trauma, medical, surgical, and neurology cases requiring monitoring or interventions every 1-2 hours
* Receive direct admissions, ICU transfers, and escalations from Rapid Response Teams
* Must be proficient in cardiac monitoring and emergency response, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and telemetry monitoring
* Medication management skills must include titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
* Ventilator experience is required
* May be required to float to other units or campuses based on census needs, limited to areas where documented competencies exist
* Special equipment includes Hercules patient repositioners, ceiling lifts, and Airtaps
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, and Pharmacy
* Minimum 2 years of RN experience required with at least 1 completed travel assignment
* Previous IICU/ICU experience with acuity of at least 1:3 is required
* First-time travelers must have 3 years of experience within specialty and critical care experience
* Must have an active SC or multistate nursing license
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
* Progressive care settings such as PCU, DOU, IMC, or Stepdown will be considered based on unit acuity
