Opportunity:
RN - Emergency Department
Job Details:
* Mid-shift schedule with hours ranging as early as 10:00 AM to 10:30 PM or as late as 1:00 PM to 1:30 AM
* Every third weekend required
* 48 hours guaranteed is an option
* Patient ratio of 1:4
* Floating is rare and only occurs if other staff have been flexed home
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a Level 2 trauma center required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, ENPC or PALS, TNCC
* Preferred certifications: CPI, CEN, TCRN
* Current Kansas RN license required
* Must have knowledge of trauma care, STEMI care, stroke care, sepsis, and triage
* Perform all procedures associated with a Level 2 trauma center
* Work with equipment including Level 1 fluid warmer, GE monitor system, Arctic Sun, Lifepak, and Alaris pumps
* Documentation completed in Meditech system
* Use of AIDET and whiteboards required for patient experience standards
* Required dress code: Cobalt blue solid color top with black or cobalt blue solid color pants and closed-toe shoes
Facility:
This facility operates a 24-bed emergency department staffed with 5 core RNs and unit secretary coverage for 21 hours per day. The emergency department is a Level 2 trauma center equipped to handle a wide range of critical and complex patient cases, including trauma, STEMI, stroke, and sepsis. The facility fosters a positive, can-do culture with an emphasis on quality patient experience standards.
