Job Details:
* Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* Weekend rotation schedule to be discussed during interview
* Call required - typically one weekday/call per week and one weekend every 5-6 weeks
* Floating within facility and to Main OR as needed, within scope of practice
* Patient ratio of 1:1
* Day shift scheduling; no self-scheduling available
* Travel pairs not accepted
* Block schedules not honored
* Epic charting system experience required
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
* Required skills include: Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair, Aortic Aneurysm repair, Arteriovenous fistula repair, Carotid angioplasty, Carotid artery stenting, Carotid Endarterectomy, Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG), Femoral popliteal bypass graft, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), Lobe resection, MAZE Procedure, Mitral valve replacement, Scrub Cardiovascular Surgery, Scrub Thoracic Surgery, Scrub Vascular Surgery, Thoracotomy, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), VATS (Video-Assisted Thoracic Surgery), and Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD/RVAD)
* Patients served include adults and geriatric populations
* Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory and interpretation services
* Georgia or Compact nursing license required at time of submission
* Holiday coverage expected based on assignment length - if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, traveler is expected to work them; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, traveler is expected to work two
* Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
* All requested time off must be finalized at time of submission; no schedule changes permitted post-offer or on-site
* No time off requests permitted during orientation week
