Opportunity:

RN - Emergency Department

Job Details:

* Minimum 2 years of experience required; unit does not accept first-time travelers
* Travel experience required
* Every other weekend schedule required
* No on-call responsibilities
* Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
* Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* 24 orientation hours required
* Maximum of 7 days of requested time off per contract; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission
* If one or two major holidays fall during assignment, no holiday RTO can be requested; if three holidays fall during assignment, one holiday RTO may be considered
* Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
* Epic charting system experience required
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
* Must be comfortable treating patients of all ages including adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
* Required skills include: arterial line management, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, continuous IV sedation, general emergency department combined adult and pediatric care, interpretation of arterial blood gases, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions and PPE, IV vasopressors, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure, and triage
* Georgia or Compact nursing license required at time of submission
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary

This large healthcare facility operates a high-volume emergency department with 59 rooms, 70 beds, and an average daily census of 265 visits. The department provides comprehensive care for patients of all ages and offers robust interdisciplinary support services. The facility maintains a well-structured staffing model and is equipped to handle a wide range of emergency and critical care needs.
