Opportunity:

RN - NICU

Job Details:

* Minimum of 3 years of NICU experience required; Level III NICU experience for at least 3 years or 2 years at a Level IV NICU
* Patient ratio is 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* Block scheduling available; can work 3 or more shifts in a row if preferred
* Intermittent weekend coverage required; managers work directly with travelers to accommodate schedule requests
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* 24 orientation hours provided
* Care for neonates and infants ranging from 23-24 weeks gestation
* Travelers are not typically responsible for admitting babies; a dedicated nurse handles that role
* Float may be required to sister campuses including Issaquah and Edmonds SCN, or Pediatrics/Newborn Nursery for infant care only
* May be assigned as a sitter for all units; no patient care required during sitter shifts
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Attends high-risk deliveries and neonatal surgeries
* Proficiency with the following equipment and procedures required:
- CPAP/BiPAP, High Frequency Vents, Oscillators, and Ventilators
- Blood and Blood Products Administration
- Cardioversion/Defibrillation
- Cooling/Warming Blanket (Therapeutic Hypothermia)
- Feeding Tubes (bottle, breast, gavage)
- PICC/Central Lines
- Syringe Pumps
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP
* Compact nursing license must be in hand at time of submission
* 2 professional references required, covering 1 year within the last 3 years (Charge RNs/Leads accepted)

Facility:

This facility features a large Level III/IV NICU with 77 beds and an average daily census of 50 patients. The unit provides comprehensive neonatal care supported by an interdisciplinary team including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Unit Secretarial staff. The facility is part of a larger health system with multiple campuses, offering a collaborative and well-resourced environment for neonatal nursing professionals.
