Job Details:

* Day shift schedule in the Intensive Care Unit
* Option of 36 or 48 hours per week with 48 hours at straight time allowed
* 1.5+ years of experience required, first-time travelers accepted
* Patient ratio of 1:2 for days, nights, and weekends
* 6 weekend shifts required per schedule period
* May be floated to MS, Stepdown, PCU, ER, and CVICU with a maximum of 4 patients while floating
* 32-bed unit serving adult patient populations
* Interdisciplinary support available including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Phlebotomy, and Transportation
* Pending NM/Compact license accepted but must be obtained prior to start
* 50-mile local radius enforced, locals not accepted
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Required skills include: arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, continuous IV sedation, CVA/acute stroke management, external ventricular drain (EVD), high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, ICP monitoring, interpretation of arterial blood gases, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, neuro intensive care, PICC line management, post neurosurgery management, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, suctioning (ETT, NT), titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, and ventilator management

This facility is a comprehensive medical center offering a wide range of critical care services to adult patients. The ICU unit consists of 32 beds and is supported by a robust interdisciplinary team including respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams. The facility is affiliated with a specialized heart hospital and provides advanced critical care capabilities across multiple unit types.
