Opportunity:

RN - Bone Marrow Transplant

Job Details:

* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Patient ratio of 1:2
* Every other weekend coverage required
* On-call required
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Michigan license required (must be in-hand at time of submission, not compact)
* Required certifications: BLS, Chemo (ONS/ONCC); OCN preferred
* Bone marrow transplant experience required; experience administering cells not required
* Administer cell and gene therapies, blood products, chemotherapy, and conditioning treatments
* Provide supportive care administration and triage
* Manage and access ports, central lines, PICC lines, and implanted lines
* Perform central line blood draws and phlebotomy
* Administer IV push and oral chemotherapy, antifungals, antivirals, antiemetics, and antibiotics
* Monitor chemotherapy and recognize and manage side effects
* Manage and dispose of cytotoxic spills
* Care for patients with hematologic malignancies including leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma
* Provide neutropenic precautions and isolation/PPE protocols
* Support patient and family education
* Patients served include adults and geriatric populations
* 2 manager or supervisor references required (charge RNs not accepted)
* No pre-approved time off during first week of contract

Facility:

This facility is a major academic medical center offering comprehensive cancer care services including bone marrow transplant, cell and gene therapy, and inpatient oncology. The unit supports a daily census of approximately 14 patients and benefits from extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response teams, and social services. The facility is committed to delivering advanced hematologic and oncologic treatments in a highly collaborative care environment.
