Opportunity:

Peds Cardiac Prep and Recovery RN

Job Details:

* Work three 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
* Staff remain until the last patient is discharged or admitted, rarely extending past 7:00 PM
* Minimum of 2 Monday and 2 Friday shifts required per month
* Self-scheduling with the team, with manager finalizing the schedule to ensure even coverage
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* No weekend, on-call, or floating requirements
* Perform a minimum of 2-3 patient visits per day
* Provide pre and post-anesthesia care for cardiovascular, EP, and interventional Cath procedures
* Care for a patient population ranging from neonates to geriatric congenital cardiac patients
* Support sedated studies, clinic visits, and cardiac surgical workups
* Cath procedures include diagnostic, valves, single ventricle pathway, and device closures (ASD, PDA)
* Perform or support pediatric EP procedures
* Utilize special equipment including EKG, glucometer, and iStat
* Chart using Epic electronic health record system
* 2+ years of RN experience required; preferred experience in procedural or pediatric ICU or stepdown (preferably cardiac) care
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
* South Carolina RN license must be active and in hand prior to start
* Travelers should be aware that all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November), with peak activity in August and September
