Opportunity:
IR Tech
Job Details:
* 10-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
* 40 guaranteed hours per week
* On-call required, including weekends and holidays
* 13-week contract
* Hospital provided scrubs/dress code
* Assist in advanced procedures such as pulmonary thrombectomy, AAA, TEVAR, and FEVAR
* Assist with complex procedures including multiple wire exchanges, long wires, and OTW balloons
* Operate specialty devices such as laser, penumbra, Inari, and shockwave equipment
* Circulate, monitor, and scrub all Interventional Vascular procedures
* Troubleshoot imaging equipment in collaboration with biomedical engineers
* Participate in procedural charging and supply management
* Act quickly and effectively under emergency situations
* Discuss plan of action with physicians and assist with high-risk procedures
* Cross-train as needed to support departmental needs
* Operate x-ray systems including panning table and recognize different imaging angles
* Manage access sites including proper sheath removal, hematoma assessment, and hematoma management
* Apply radiation safety concepts and maintain knowledge of vascular anatomy
* Maintain sterile technique and communicate effectively with team, patients, families, and medical staff
* Precept new staff and students
* Required certifications: ARRT-R (with VI or CV credential) or RCIS; BLS
* Minimum 1 year of experience as an Interventional Vascular Specialist, Interventional Radiology Technologist, or Registered Cardiovascular Technologist required; 3-5 years preferred
* Travel experience preferred
* Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic or cardiovascular technology required
