ICU Nights
Job Details:
* Night shift ICU position
* Option of 36 or 48 hours per week
* 48 hours at straight time allowed
* Patient ratio of 1:2 maintained on days, nights, and weekends
* 6 weekend shifts required per schedule period
* Float required - may be floated to MS, Stepdown, PCU, ER, or CVICU with a maximum of 4 patients while floating
* 1.5+ years of experience required
* First-time travelers welcome
* 32-bed ICU unit serving adult patient population
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Required skills include: arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, continuous IV sedation, CVA/acute stroke management, interpretation of arterial blood gases, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction and failure, PICC line management, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, ventilator management, high flow nasal cannula, hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, ICP monitoring, neuro intensive care, post neurosurgery management, surgical intensive care, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, phlebotomy, suctioning, and isolation precautions
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation
* Pending NM or compact license accepted but must be obtained prior to start

This facility is a well-equipped intensive care unit featuring 32 beds and robust interdisciplinary support services. The unit provides comprehensive critical care for adult patients and maintains a strong 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio. The facility offers access to a wide range of specialty support services including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
