Opportunity:

Cath Lab Tech

Job Details:

* Work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
* 13-week assignment with likelihood of extension for an additional 13 weeks
* Call required with 30-minute arrival for STEMI coverage (1 weekend per month and 1 night per week, with additional call availability if desired)
* Same day call-outs with 24-48 hour interview notice
* Acute care setting in a 400-430 bed facility
* Operate fluoroscopy equipment and the cath lab table independently as there are no fellows on staff
* Scrub in with physician while operating the table
* Perform interventional cardiac procedures including cardiac catheterizations, angioplasty, peripheral vascular procedures, electrophysiology, and pacemaker procedures
* Monitor and record hemodynamic and physiologic values using Cath Lab computer systems (Cerner)
* Perform first assist using appropriate sterile techniques
* Comply with safety, infection control, and environmental control policies and procedures
* Perform quality control on equipment and devices as required
* Maintain supply stock and keep all work areas clean and functional
* Train and educate students and/or technologists on proper procedures and techniques
* Minimum 1 year of experience as an Interventional Cardiovascular Technologist required
* Associate's Degree in Radiology required
* Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist license required
* ARRT(R) certification required - RCIS will not be accepted
* Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), ARRT, BLS (AHA)

This acute care facility operates with 400-430 beds and features a fully equipped cardiac catheterization laboratory supporting a wide range of interventional cardiology procedures. The facility maintains high clinical standards and utilizes Cerner as its charting system. The cath lab team works collaboratively across departments to deliver quality cardiovascular care, with technologists playing a key hands-on role in patient procedures.
