Opportunity:
Cath Lab Tech
Job Details:
* Day shifts available in 10-hour or 12-hour formats
* Open to block scheduling on Friday through Sunday
* First time travelers welcome
* Cases are performed with 2 techs: one scrubs and one monitors hemodynamics
* RN handles conscious sedation during cases
* A 4th person may be present depending on the case, either an RN or a tech
* A Lead Tech is responsible for making room assignments
* Agency provides traveler with radiation badge
* Facility operates 5 suites: 2 for coronary cases, 1 for peripheral cases, 1 for vascular and neuro cases, and 1 for EP cases
* Average caseload ranges from 10 to 22 cases per day
* Weeknight call rotation required once per week for inpatient and emergent cases
* Weekend call rotation required once per month, running from Friday evening through Monday morning, subject to change based on unit needs
* Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for shorter assignments
* Charting system: Cerner
* Must have current cath lab experience
* Must be comfortable with conscious and moderate sedation, procedural processes, and airway management
* Must be comfortable with cardiac drips such as Integrilin, dopamine, and vasopressors, as well as balloon pumps
* Skills required: STEMI receiving facility experience, cardiac/coronary, vascular, peripheral, general IR, and neuro intervention
* Required certifications: ARRT, Fluoroscopy, BLS
* RCIS or CCT certifications will not be accepted
* BSN not required
* Active state license required for submission
