Opportunity:
Cath Lab Tech
Job Details:
* First time travelers welcome
* Day shift position with flexibility for 10-hour or 12-hour shifts
* Open to block scheduling Friday through Sunday
* Every other weekend (EOW) requirement with first to float status
* Weekend call runs from Friday evening through Monday morning, 1 weekend per month (subject to change based on unit needs)
* Weeknight call rotation for inpatient and emergent cases, 1 time per week
* Cases are performed with 2 techs - one scrubs and one monitors hemodynamics
* RN performs conscious sedation; a 4th person (RN or tech) may assist depending on the case
* Lead Tech is responsible for making room assignments
* Facility operates 5 suites: 2 for coronary cases, 1 for peripheral cases, 1 for vascular and neuro cases, and 1 for EP cases
* Average caseload ranges from 10 to 22 cases per day
* STEMI receiving facility handling cardiac/coronary, vascular, peripheral, general IR, and neuro intervention cases
* Must have current cath lab experience
* Must be comfortable with conscious and moderate sedation, procedural processes, and airway management
* Must be proficient with cardiac drips such as Integrilin, dopamine, and vasopressors, as well as balloon pumps
* Charting system: Cerner
* Agency provides traveler with radiation badge
* Required certifications: ARRT, BLS Certification, Fluoroscopy
* RCIS or CCT certifications will NOT be accepted
* BSN not required
* Acute care setting
Facility:
This acute care facility is a STEMI receiving center equipped with 5 specialized cath lab suites supporting a wide range of interventional procedures including cardiac, coronary, vascular, peripheral, general IR, and neuro intervention cases. The facility utilizes Cerner as its charting system and maintains a structured team-based approach in the cath lab, with designated lead techs overseeing room assignments and a collaborative care model involving both technologists and registered nurses.
