TRAVEL EXP- MS/Tele RN
Job Details:
* 12-hour shifts with variable scheduling
* Every other weekend required
* Block schedules not required
* No on-call required, though call may be needed due to low census
* 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
* Patient ratio of 1:5 with day, night, and weekend ratios of 1:6
* Float required to other acute care departments within the hospital, including up to 6 other acute care units
* At least 1 year of experience required
* At least one prior travel contract required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Compact nursing license must be in hand at time of submission
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Required skills include: blood product administration, central line care and management, feeding tube care and management, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions and PPE, IV insulin protocols, nasal cannula, oxygen administration, PCA, peripheral line care and management, phlebotomy, PICC line management, starting and maintaining IVs, telemetry and on-unit telemetry monitoring, use of rapid response and code teams, and wound care and wound vac
* Treats adult and geriatric patient populations
* Unit has 30 beds with a daily census of approximately 27 patients
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
* Dress code for licensed nursing personnel requires solid navy blue colored uniforms or scrub attire; print tops are not acceptable
* Free parking available in unrestricted surface parking lots designated for employees and visitors
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* 2 professional references required, covering 1 year within the last 3 years, to be submitted during the compliance process prior to start

This short-term acute care facility is a 379-bed hospital and designated Level II Trauma Center offering comprehensive inpatient medical services.
