Radiation Therapist - Radiation Oncology

Job Details:

* Work 5x8-hour day shifts or possibly 4x10-hour shifts
* No weekend or holiday requirements
* No on-call or standby requirements
* No floating or coverage of other areas required
* Treat an average of 25 patients per linear accelerator (50 total) plus 6-9 CT sim patients per day
* Work with a mix of adult and pediatric patients with minimal pediatric cases
* Operate Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator and Varian ARIA Oncology Information System
* Work with department-specific equipment including Varian Trilogy, Varian TrueBeam, and Siemens Somation Go.Flo Open
* Radiation Oncologists on-site with Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech present
* No IV starts required
* No RRA usage required
* Charting system: EPIC
* Scrub color: Gray
* Required certifications: BLS Certification, ARRT Registered Radiation Therapist (T)
* West Virginia state license required
* Must have experience with IMRT, IGRT, SRS, and SBRT
* BSN not required
* Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week assignment and 1 shift for assignments less than 13 weeks

Facility:

This is a Level 1 Trauma acute care facility with a dedicated Radiation Oncology department equipped with advanced technology to support a high-volume patient population. The department operates multiple linear accelerators and offers a comprehensive range of radiation therapy services including IMRT, IGRT, SRS, and SBRT. Radiation Oncologists are on-site to support the clinical team, and a Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech is present within the department.
