Job Details:
* Work three 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
* Patient ratios of 1:5-6 for days, nights, and weekends
* Every other weekend required
* No on-call required
* May be required to float within scope to meet facility needs or between like units and sister facilities
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* South Carolina license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start
* Required certifications: BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS preferred
* Telemetry competency required
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Block schedule accommodation can be requested prior to assignment but is not guaranteed
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* Scrub color: Royal Blue
* Charting system: Epic
* Free parking on-site
* Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
* Common patient diagnoses include Diabetes, HTN, CAD, Seizure, CVA, TIA, and CRD
* Required skills include cardiac telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, blood product administration, central line care and management, heparin protocols, PICC line management, wound care and wound vac, tracheostomy care, and pre/post cardiac cath care among others
* Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June through November), all contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams, with peak activity in August and September
Facility:
This acute care hospital is a Level III Trauma Center with 286 staffed beds, offering a comprehensive range of inpatient medical and surgical services. The facility supports interdisciplinary care through physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretarial staff. The Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit consists of 43 beds with a daily census of approximately 36 patients, providing a dynamic and collaborative care environment.
