Job Details:

* Work 10-hour shifts with available shift times of Days: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or Evenings: 4:00 PM - 2:00 AM
* Work every other weekend, including both Saturday and Sunday
* No on-call required
* Position may float to sister hospital emergency department to perform the same duties if overstaffed
* Work in Adult and Pediatric Emergency Room department
* Conduct crisis risk assessments for both adult and pediatric patients
* Evaluate level of risk for danger to self, danger to others, or gravely disabled status as directed by ED attending provider or APP
* Provide level of care recommendations as a consultant
* Perform biopsychosocial assessments and mental health assessments
* Provide crisis intervention and case management support for patients experiencing mental health illness and substance use disorder
* Facilitate discharge and contingency planning
* Coordinate with internal and external team members and multidisciplinary teams
* Patient ratio of 7
* Must have full licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW/LCSW) - associate license will not suffice
* Minimum of 1 year of experience required; at least 3 years preferred
* Hospital experience preferred
* Experience in conducting crisis risk assessments for adults and pediatrics required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Required certifications: LCSW, LMFT, or LMHC
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day

Facility:

This facility is a Short Term Acute Care hospital operating as both a Level II Trauma Center and a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center. With 629 staffed beds, it is a large teaching hospital equipped to handle a wide range of complex medical and psychiatric cases. The facility utilizes Epic as its primary charting system and offers no-cost parking for staff.
