Opportunity:

RN - Labor and Delivery

Job Details:

* 12-hour night shifts
* Weekend coverage required
* Ability to float to other facilities within a 75+ mile radius as needed
* Minimum 3 years of Labor and Delivery RN experience required (at least 1 year of recent experience)
* Postpartum experience required
* Ability to circulate C-sections required
* Previous travel assignment required
* Teaching hospital experience required
* Charting system: Epic (required)
* Required certifications: CA RN license, BSN, AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP
* AWHONN Intermediate certification required
* Key skills include: Labor & Delivery, Postpartum care, C-section circulation and recovery, Neonatal Resuscitation, High Risk Antepartum, Magnesium Sulfate therapy, Pitocin administration, External and Internal Fetal Monitoring, IUPC placement and calibration, Epidural Anesthesia, Postpartum Hemorrhage management, Pregnancy-induced hypertension, Newborn Assessment, and use of infusion pumps
* Patient population includes straightforward to high acuity patients with co-morbidities, homebirth transfers, patients without prenatal care, and those with substance abuse histories
* Staffing per AWHONN guidelines
* All requested time off must be submitted at time of offer; no additional requests accepted mid-contract and time off cannot fall within the first two weeks of the assignment
* 2 references from most recent employer required at time of submission

Facility:

This is a large, academic teaching hospital and Level I trauma center offering a wide range of specialty services. The Labor and Delivery unit manages a diverse and high-acuity patient population, handling between 200 to 300 facility births per month. The organization maintains staffing according to AWHONN guidelines and supports an interdisciplinary care model, providing resources for complex obstetric cases including high-risk antepartum and neonatal care.
