Opportunity:

RN - Medical Specialty

Job Details:

* 12-hour day/night rotation shifts with every other weekend and holiday required
* Rotation schedule varies based on unit needs - may work several weeks of days followed by several weeks of nights, or all days/nights depending on the schedule cycle
* Self-scheduling available, however days off are only guaranteed as listed on contract and shifts may be adjusted to balance unit needs
* Schedule balancing is mindful of minimizing frequent day/night flipping for staff
* Work on a 32-bed inpatient Medical-Specialty Unit caring for adult medical/surgical patients and patients experiencing behavioral disturbances
* Nurse to patient ratio of 5:1 on days and 6:1 on nights
* Collaborate with inter-professional colleagues including physicians to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
* Demonstrate competency and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise utilizing age and population specific standards
* Utilize equipment including EMR Epic, telemetry, Philips monitors, bladder scanner, Acuivein, and Omnicell
* Float to any medical/surgical unit across all three campuses in Fargo as needed
* All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
* Scrub color: Navy Blue
* Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience in a large hospital setting with 250+ beds required
* Level 1 trauma experience required
* Travel nursing experience required - candidates on their first travel assignment will not be considered
* EPIC experience required
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA)
* North Dakota or compact state RN license required
* BSN not required

This is a large acute care facility operating at a Level 1 trauma designation with a capacity of 250 or more beds. The facility spans multiple campuses in the Fargo area and provides a wide range of medical and surgical services. The medical-specialty unit features all private rooms equipped with private bathrooms and patient mobility support equipment, reflecting a strong commitment to patient safety and comfort.
