Opportunity:

RT - Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts with weekends and holidays as scheduled
* Every other weekend requirement: nights Friday/Saturday/Sunday, days Saturday/Sunday
* Every other holiday requirement
* No on-call responsibilities
* Scrub color: Gray
* Treat a variable patient load including adults, pediatrics, and neonates across multiple floors including ICU
* Must be able to intubate independently for adults
* Prior Level 2-3 NICU experience with ventilators required
* Pediatric floor care and adult experience required
* Administer treatments including oxygen therapy, humidity therapy, airway management, resuscitation, mechanical ventilation, postural drainage, chest physiotherapy, BiPAP, CPAP, nebulizers, inhalers, and ABGs
* Operate ventilators including Servo U, Hamilton G5, Hamilton T1 Transport Vent, Philips Respironics V60 BiPAP, and AirVo/MaxTech high flow heated systems
* Perform EKGs during off hours (5:00 PM through 7:00 AM the following morning) and all weekend, excluding the ER
* Assess patients, plan appropriate treatments based on physician orders, establish goals and methods of treatment
* Charting completed in EPIC
* No PFT duties required
* Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NRP, PALS (AHA), and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) verification; CRT accepted if license was held prior to July 1, 2022

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a Level III NICU and provides comprehensive respiratory therapy services across multiple floors and departments including the ICU and emergency room. The facility maintains 24/7 pharmacy support and has an in-house hospitalist and intensivist available at all times. The respiratory therapy team operates collaboratively across shifts, with a lead therapist on each shift and a dedicated manager overseeing daily operations and scheduling.
