Job Details:

* Weekend coverage position working Friday, Saturday, and Sunday on a block schedule
* Evening shift from 11:00 PM to 11:00 AM
* Patient ratio of 1:1
* No on-call required as a standard expectation, though call may be assigned to meet department needs on weekdays or weekends
* Must be fully competent in circulating a wide variety of urgent and emergent cases including Ortho and Neuro
* Must be fully competent in all neurosurgical procedures including craniotomies and complex spine
* Procedures and specialties include general, ortho, neuro, ENT, plastics, pediatrics, robotics, and transplant
* May float to an outpatient surgical center
* Charting system: Epic (experience required)
* Scrub color: Any color
* At least 1 year of experience required
* Trauma Level II experience preferred
* Required certifications: BLS, CNOR
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* Must treat patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
* 20 operating rooms available
* Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary

Facility:

This facility is a short-term acute care hospital and Level II Trauma Center as well as a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with 629 staffed beds. As a teaching hospital, it provides a dynamic and educational environment for healthcare professionals. The facility supports a wide range of surgical specialties and utilizes advanced technology including the Da Vinci Xi Surgical System and Epic charting, with interdisciplinary support services available across all departments.
