L&D Nights

Job Details:

* Night shift position in Labor & Delivery
* Option of 36 or 48 hours per week
* Every other weekend required with 12 weekend shifts per contract
* Patient ratio of 1:3 for days, nights, and weekends
* 11-bed/11-room LDRP unit providing couplet care
* Most newborns room in with parents as couplet care is provided
* Care for laboring patients, couplet care, and triage of obstetrical patients
* 1 year of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Charting system experience required - Epic
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP, STABLE
* Required skills include: assist with vaginal delivery, cesarean section, couplet care, episiotomy/incisional care, infant identification, labor & delivery, LDRP, mother/baby, newborn assessment, newborn hypoglycemia, phototherapy, recover C-section, thermoregulation, triage of obstetrical patients, breastfeeding/lactation support, and assist with circumcision/assess site post-op
* Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
* May be expected to float to like units within scope based on facility needs

This facility operates an 11-bed LDRP unit with a strong focus on family-centered care, where most newborns room in with their parents. The unit provides comprehensive labor and delivery, recovery, postpartum, and couplet care services supported by a full interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response teams.
