Opportunity:

Cardiac Sonographer

Job Details:

* Day shift position working four 10-hour shifts
* Shift start times are 7:00 AM or 8:00 AM
* Some on-call days required
* Perform ultrasound technical duties for imaging heart muscle and functions
* Create images of the heart, cardiac chambers, valves, and vessels to assess heart functions and aid in diagnoses
* Collaborate closely with cardiologists to perform technical aspects of examinations, evaluate findings, and report results
* Set up ultrasound equipment, attach electrodes to patient chest, and document cardiac data and measurements
* Prepare patients by positioning, spreading gels, attaching electrodes, verifying wave signals, and recording images
* Interview patients and review medical records to adapt sonographic techniques
* Perform echocardiography on treadmill patients to assess heart functions
* Maintain equipment and inventories, restock supplies, and enter patient information into appropriate systems
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred
* Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification from ARDMS or CCI required
* Echocardiography (ECG) certification preferred
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor required
* Minimum two years of recent experience in the field required
