Opportunity:

Clinical Staff Educator

Job Details:

* Provide education and instruction for clinical staff, acting as a resource for healthcare education and training programs
* Introduce technical and theoretical concepts using a variety of teaching techniques
* Support development of education programs in collaboration with department managers and clinical nurse coordinators
* Utilize simulation training with mannequins and simulation software
* Work closely with the Quality Management team to promote continuous improvement and identify educational opportunities
* Assist with Quality Department activities as requested
* Evaluate programs and participant learning outcomes and make appropriate changes as needed
* Minimum of 5 years of hospital nursing experience required
* Minimum of 3 years of OR experience required
* Bachelor's degree in nursing required (Master of Science in Nursing strongly preferred)
* Current Oregon RN license required
* Required certifications: Healthcare Provider (HCP) CPR, CNOR, ACLS, and PALS
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel) required
* Strong computer skills including word processing and internet use required
* Minimum typing speed of 45 WPM accurately required
* Excellent communication, customer service, and English language skills required
* Experience teaching others and developing courses preferred
* Experience with simulation manikins and software preferred
* Knowledge of electronic health record systems helpful
