RN - MS Tele Float Pool

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
* Float throughout Zone 1 (based around Colorado Springs, CO) within a 60-mile radius, including Penrose Hospital, St. Francis Medical Center, St. Francis InterQuest, St. Mary Corwin, and St. Thomas More
* No home base facility - must live 60 miles from each facility to be eligible
* Schedules are released 4-6 weeks in advance and may follow a single facility weekly assignment or a Just-In-Time (JIT) format where facility is assigned 1-2 hours before shift start
* 6-9 weekend shifts required in a 6-week schedule
* May be asked to participate in holiday rotation
* Rare on-call or standby requirement for low census situations
* Float into multiple units ranging from General MS-Tele to specialties including Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, and ED Observation
* May be asked to float into other acuity levels including ICU (low acuity holds), PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele
* Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6 based on acuity
* Nurse aides available on units
* Responsible for titrating Heparin drips
* Work with RT equipment including vents, CPAP, and BiPap
* Charting system: EPIC
* Minimum 2 years of MS-Tele experience required; prior neuro experience preferred
* Must not miss more than 3 shifts in a 13-week contract
* All time off requests must be submitted prior to starting assignment
* Must be present in state for the week of orientation
* Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS
