Open Position: RN - Med Surg

Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2798.40

Opportunity:

Med Surg Float Team RN

Job Details:

* 13-week contract starting ASAP
* 8-hour PM shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
* Guaranteed 36-48 hours per week (minimum of 36, up to 48 with overtime after 48 hours)
* Hours are not guaranteed during orientation week or holidays when the unit is closed
* Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
* No on-call or callback requirements
* Float team position - will float as needed within skillset to observation unit, cardiac unit, medical unit, surgical unit, ortho/neuro unit, inpatient rehab, and/or transitional care unit
* Facility will attempt to keep traveler in 1-2 like units but floating to other units is possible
* Patient ratios: PM shift 1:4 to 1:5
* Minimum 1-2+ years of general Med/Surg experience required
* Must have experience with venipuncture and Cardizem
* Experience with ports, Foley/straight cath, and stable drips required
* Previous travel experience strongly preferred
* Epic charting experience strongly preferred within the past 2 years
* Required certifications: BLS (American Heart Association), active RN or Compact license, NIHSS
* NIHSS certification preferred at submission; must be completed prior to end of orientation (provided through Apex Innovations at no charge)
* Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
* Scrub colors: No bright colors or character prints
* Strong time management, resilience, adaptability, and social skills preferred
* Contractors must be outside a 50-mile radius of Bellin Health
