Opportunity:

Cardiac Step-Down RN

Job Details:

* Work 3x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Holidays required as needed
* Rotating weekend schedule required
* No on-call responsibilities
* Patient ratio of 1:5 on all shifts including weekends
* May be required to float between Downtown and Northeast campuses based on census and staffing needs; ratio will adjust to the unit floated to
* Care provided for adult and geriatric patient populations
* Unit supports patients arriving from the Emergency Department, Cath Lab, Operating Room, or transferred from ICU or Medical Surgical Units
* Interdisciplinary support available including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, and Pharmacy
* Charting system: Epic
* Scrub color: Royal Blue
* 2 years of experience required; travel experience preferred
* South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license required
* Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association only)
* Required skills: Telemetry, IV start, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2-week period

This acute care hospital operates with 304 staffed beds and provides comprehensive cardiac step-down care through its Progressive Care Unit, a telemetry-monitored unit that delivers continuous monitoring for adult patients with complex care needs. The facility offers robust interdisciplinary support services and operates across multiple campuses, ensuring collaborative and well-resourced patient care. Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, which runs from June through November, all staff including contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams.
