RN - Pediatrics

Job Details:

* Day shift position working 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
* Rotating shift schedule
* No on-call responsibilities
* Minimum 2 years of recent pediatric nursing experience required
* PICU experience preferred
* Moderate to deep sedation experience ideal and preferred
* Must have Epic experience
* Required certifications: PALS, NRP, BLS
* Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
* Current RN license in state of practice required
* Provide nursing care for stable and acutely ill pediatric patients ranging from newborns up to 18 years of age
* Administer medications and manage intravenous therapy including blood products
* Provide care and maintenance of indwelling catheters and drains
* Demonstrate knowledge and skills in caring for pediatric patients requiring ventilatory support devices and procedures
* Perform care planning, noting of physiological changes, and address psychosocial needs of pediatric patients
* Educate and train patients and their families
* Supervise and delegate care responsibilities to ancillary personnel
* Cross-train and float to NICU as needed
* Demonstrate appropriate clinical judgment in managing pediatric emergencies
