Job Details:

* Work three 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Travelers work 12-hour shifts on weekends in rotation with other staff and may also be asked to work 8-hour shifts during the week in rotation
* Weekend rotation and call required at manager's discretion
* Weeknight call requirements: 3-4 per 4-week time period
* Weekend call requirements: 1 shift per 4-week time period
* Call response time: 45 minutes
* Self-scheduling available within reason; block scheduling not guaranteed
* Must be well-rounded in case types including trauma, ortho, neuro, cardiac, and ex lap
* Level 1 trauma center experience required
* Experience scrubbing and/or circulating neuro, ortho, and trauma cases required
* Scrubbing not required for RNs but considered a bonus
* Charge nurse present on all shifts
* No floating requirements
* Hospital-issued scrubs provided
* All travelers required to take the same amount of call as permanent staff
* EMR system: EPIC
* BSN not required
* Required certifications: BLS

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a large operating room department with 23 suites and an average of 75 cases per day. The facility is a Level 1 trauma center offering a wide range of surgical services including neuro, orthopedic, trauma, cardiac, and eye cases. The organization utilizes EPIC as its electronic medical records system and maintains a structured call system across multiple centers to ensure comprehensive surgical coverage around the clock.
