Opportunity:

Free Standing ER RN

Job Details:

* Work 3x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Patient ratios of 1:5-7 (days: 1:5, nights and weekends: 1:7)
* Every other weekend required
* No on-call responsibilities
* Possible float to Kiawah FSED and Summerville FSED as needed
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* 1 year of general emergency experience required (adult and pediatrics)
* Experience with CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident) required
* Epic experience required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
* Preferred certifications: NRP, TNCC
* South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license required
* Scrub color: Royal Blue
* Charting system: Epic
* Must be proficient in management of dysrhythmias, central line care, IV vasopressors, BiPAP/CPAP management, and care of ventilated patients
* Must be proficient in triage, procedural sedation, emergency medications, phlebotomy, and starting and maintaining IVs
* Must be able to obtain 12-lead EKG/ECG and administer blood products
* Must be able to manage patients with conditions including CVA, drug overdose, suicidal ideation, psychiatric holds, seizures, burns, head injuries, and mental/behavioral health conditions
* Facility serves patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Daily census of approximately 50 patients with 15 rooms and 14 beds
* Interdisciplinary support includes interpretation services and radiology
* Block scheduling available with manager approval based on unit needs
* All requested time off must be submitted at time of candidate submission

Facility:

This is a stand-alone free-standing emergency department providing comprehensive emergency care to patients of all ages, from neonates to geriatrics. The facility operates with a daily census of approximately 50 patients and features 15 rooms and 14 beds. The department is supported by interdisciplinary services including radiology and interpretation services, and utilizes Epic as its charting system to ensure efficient and accurate patient care documentation.
