RN - MedSurg Stepdown

Job Details:

* Day shift hours from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
* Night shift hours from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* Weekend and holiday shifts required as scheduled
* Acute care setting on a 34-bed MedSurg Stepdown and Floor unit
* Patient ratios of 1:3 for Stepdown and 1:5-6 for Floor
* Must be proficient in reading and interpreting telemetry strips
* Required to titrate drips
* Respiratory therapy available in-house 24/7, ventilators present on unit
* Charge nurse and transport RN available from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM at optimal staffing
* Nurse aides typically available with 2-5 clinical assistants on unit
* Telemetry technicians post strips each shift
* May be required to float to other units
* Cancellation policy of 2 shifts per 13-week contract
* Charting system: EPIC
* BSN not required
* Scrub color: Royal Blue
* Required certifications: BLS
* Please note: No time off can be approved between December 20th and January 2nd

This acute care facility operates a 34-bed MedSurg Stepdown and Floor unit providing comprehensive medical-surgical care to patients requiring both stepdown and general floor-level care. The unit is equipped with telemetry monitoring capabilities and in-house respiratory therapy available around the clock. The facility utilizes EPIC as its electronic health records charting system and maintains a structured staffing model with clinical assistants and telemetry technicians to support nursing staff.
