Opportunity:

TRAVEL - RN - ED

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts from 1:00 PM to 1:00 AM
* Emergency Department assignment on the 1st floor
* Patient ratio of 4:1
* 40-bed emergency department averaging 145 patients daily
* Minimum 1-2 years of current acute care ED RN experience required
* Trauma Level 1 or Level 2 experience preferred
* Required certifications: BLS, ALS, NIH, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, and CPI Blue Card
* Utilize equipment including IV pumps, EKG machines, ultrasound machines, Belmont, Lifepak, and GE Transport Monitors
* EMR system: Meditech (prior experience preferred)
* Perform rapid assessments (ESI Triage), comprehensive nursing assessments, and focused reassessments
* Conduct pain assessment and management, sepsis screening and interventions, and stroke screening and interventions
* Respond to Trauma Level 1 and 2 activations, MCI responses, and behavioral health crisis interventions
* Perform vital sign monitoring, EKG, defibrillation, IV insertion, blood collection, and blood culture collection
* Assist with medication administration, sutures/staples, wound care, and splinting
* Provide pediatric emergency care and procedural sedation
* Must be an experienced ER nurse who is a team-player, motivated, and ambitious

Facility:

This emergency department facility operates a 40-bed unit that sees an average of 145 patients daily, supported by a large team of approximately 110 staff members including RNs, Paramedics, EMTs, Nurse Externs, and Unit Secretaries. The unit is equipped with modern technology including IV pumps, EKG machines, ultrasound machines, and GE Transport Monitors, and utilizes Meditech as its electronic medical records system. The facility handles a wide range of cases from general emergency care to Trauma Level 1 and 2 activations, making it a dynamic and fast-paced environment for experienced emergency room nurses.
