Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* Day shift option available from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
* Every other weekend requirement
* Holiday requirement applies
* Up to 3 call/cut shifts possible per 13-week contract
* Float to ICU desirable but not required
* Wear navy blue scrubs
* Minimum 2 years of ER experience within the last 3 years required
* Required certifications: TNCC, ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIHSS
* State patient ratios of no more than 1:4
* Manage a wide variety of patient diagnoses across all age groups
* Perform triage responsibilities in dedicated triage room
* Manage ER holds independently within the ER
* Draw blood when starting IVs; phlebotomy team available for routine draws
* Read and interpret cardiac monitor strips independently (no monitor techs on unit)
* Work with respiratory therapy equipment including vents, CPAP, BiPAP, High-Flow NC, and Airvo
* Chart using Cerner EMR system
* Work alongside 1 MD on duty at all times and 1 House Supervisor at all times
* Unit techs available during select hours when staffing allows
* CT and X-ray immediately adjacent to the ER with no transport team required

Facility:

This facility is a Critical Access Hospital and Level III verified trauma center offering acute care services. The emergency department consists of 11 beds and trauma bays, seeing between 20 and 40 patients per day. The facility is equipped with advanced respiratory therapy equipment and utilizes Cerner as its electronic medical records system, supporting a well-rounded and fast-paced emergency care environment.
