Opportunity:

Emergency Department RN

Job Details:

* 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Schedule includes weekdays and every other weekend
* Guaranteed 36 hours per week
* Patient ratio of 4:1
* No on-call requirements
* May be required to float within scope to meet facility needs
* Treat patients across all age groups including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Level 1 Trauma Center with 24 beds
* Manage neurological, orthopedic, psychiatric, and renal emergencies with a special focus on trauma
* High psychiatric patient population with no separate psych area
* Experience with boarding and multiple high acuity patients required
* Charting system: Cerner
* Minimum 2 years of RN experience required with at least 1 year of in-specialty experience
* First-time travelers accepted with appropriate experience
* WV or Compact RN license required; pending license accepted for submission
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), TNCC, and CPI
* Required skills: IV start, telemetry, interpretation of dysrhythmias, arterial line management, blood product administration, triage, procedural sedation, and management of violent behavior
* Trauma Level I experience preferred
* Blocked schedules are a possibility and will be discussed during interview

This facility operates a Level 1 Trauma Emergency Department with 24 beds, providing comprehensive emergency care services to patients of all ages. The department specializes in neurological, orthopedic, psychiatric, and renal emergencies and is supported by an interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, and social services. The facility maintains a high-acuity environment and is equipped to manage complex trauma and psychiatric cases.
