Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Every other weekend (EOW) schedule required
* Every other major holiday required
* No on-call or standby requirements
* No floating requirements
* Nurse serves as charge nurse, responsible for medication administration and wound care
* Patient ratios: 1:10 on days, 1:19 on nights
* Common diagnoses include heart disease, diabetes, and dementia
* Long-term care experience required
* No IV or titratable drips involved
* No telemetry monitoring required
* Oxygen therapy equipment includes concentrators and portable concentrators
* EMR system: MatrixCare/Matrix
* 2-3 shifts of unit/department specific orientation provided
* No self-scheduling or blocked scheduling
* Scrubs must be clean and presentable, no specific color requirement
* BSN not required
* Required certifications: BLS

This long-term care facility operates a 26-bed unit providing specialized care for residents with chronic conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, and dementia. The facility offers a post-acute care setting with physician availability by phone after hours and interdisciplinary support including physical therapy as needed and a social worker designee. The facility utilizes an off-site pharmacy and MatrixCare as its electronic medical records system.
