Job Details:

* 4 x 10-hour day shifts
* Strong vascular experience strongly preferred
* On-call requirements will be discussed during interview
* Vascular on-call: 7 to 10 days per period, including weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)
* Hearts on-call: 10 to 15 days per period with 2 weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)
* Technicians will scrub cases only and do not circulate; may assist the nurse in the room if needed
* Performs procedures including angioplasty/stenting, aortic aneurysm repair, coronary artery bypass graft (CABG), and related vascular cases
* Skills required include aseptic technique, radiation safety, sharps safety, specimen handling/labeling, and universal protocol (time-out) procedure
* Mesh measuring and additional time-out procedures for retained or additional foreign objects required
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks (guaranteed hours policy)
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Trauma Level I experience preferred
* Patients served include adults and geriatrics
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams and radiology
* All requested time off must be submitted at time of application
* Required certifications: BLS, NBSTSA (NCCT certification accepted if ST was employed as a ST in S.C. prior to January 1, 2008, or completed a ST military training program)
* ACLS required
* Successful completion of a Surgical Technology program or Surgical Technologist training in the U.S. Armed Forces required
